Killing Me At The Pump : HaHa

Fill up the Golden Eagle Bike Engine with gasoline The only way to travel... on a sunny day. Fillerup with 32 Cents. Found a nickle on the ground so it actually only cost me 27 cents. Full throttle gives 26-28 miles per wee-little tank.

2000 MILES !

Made it to the Golden Eagle 2000 Mile mark. 2006 to be exact. A beautiful day and a perfect ride.

2000 Miles on the Golden Eagle Bicycle Bike Engine

A few weeks ago I ordered a 2 new belts. My first belt had one spot on it where the grooves were slightly worn causing a knock/slap sound while riding full throttle. I put the new belt on and carry the second just in case.

The worn grooves in only one spot was curious. It possibly came this way: When riding down a steep hill, the engine throttle is not used. Once the ground levels, if you immediately hit the throttle without pedaling, there is a peculiar slap sound as the belt engages. Even a few pedals may not stop the loud slap of the belt. If you pedal until all bicycle motion is controlled by your pedaling, and then slowly start the throttle pressure, the slapping usually will not occur.

I may have damaged the first belt as I learned proper procedures.

Other than that, I have changed the oil and everything works great. I noticed this last trip I may have increased one (1) mile per hour. They said the Subaru Robin engine would get better and better with age and use.

Great Spring. Great bicycle kit. Great riding and a great way to enjoy our Lord's creation.

On my Virtual Pretend Bike Journey I am now just east of Pecos Texas!
